#BHM Activity: Create a Black History Museum in your classroom.
Step 1: Students research notable Black figures or key events in Black history—even better if they can connect said figure or event to one of their personal interests. Students will then create posters based on their findings.
Step 2: Display students’ work throughout the classroom, organizing the posters into exhibits, such as media, science, history, and literature, to transform your classroom into a museum.
Step 3: Choose a date and invite other classes or caregivers to a museum tour of your students’ exhibits. Students can show next to their posters and present the information to guests as museum guides and educators.
