The onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine saw an influx of Ukrainian students to the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District in Washington, and many of these students have been placed in Tammy’s class. By focusing on fostering a safe classroom culture, Tammy supports her students by creating positive connections and providing guidance during difficult times.
