In 1994, Senator Dianne Feinstein led the charge to pass the California Desert Protection Act that established Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley National Park, Mojave National Preserve and over 50 new wilderness areas.
This month, the Act is celebrating 25 years of conservation for California’s desert landscapes and public lands. Join us and our friends at Amargosa Conservancy, California Wilderness Coalition, Friends of the Inyo, and Mojave Desert Land Trust in celebrating these spaces through events happening across the desert and thanking Senator Dianne Feinstein for her continued leadership in protecting California’s wild places.
