Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, Danielle Green earned a basketball scholarship to Notre Dame and graduated with a degree in psychology. After teaching in her hometown, she answered a childhood calling to serve and enlisted in the U.S. Army as a military police officer. In 2004, while deployed in Iraq, Danielle was gravely wounded by a rocket-propelled grenade, resulting in the loss of her left arm.
Through determination and hope, she rebuilt her life, earning two master’s degrees and dedicating her career to counseling veterans and their families. Today, Danielle continues to inspire by helping others find strength and purpose as they transition from military to civilian life. Learn more about Green’s story: http://spr.ly/61837emXh
