We could not be more thrilled to announce the birth of a second baby western lowland gorilla this year at Regenstein Center for African Apes! As a critically endangered species, this new baby is extra special. Bana gave birth to the baby on June 12.
With Rollie and Bana’s new infants, the troop has a lot to get used to, so the building will be closed to the public until further notice. However, members will have the opportunity for a special sneak preview June 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. – Noon. Become a member today at lpzoo.org/membership.
