0:10Evan: While weed is now legal for adults in almost a third of states,
0:13because it remains illegal on the federal level, hundreds of thousands of people are still arrested for things
0:17like possession each year — disproportionately in Black and Brown communities.
0:22Seth: In fact, authorities arrest more people for simply smoking weed each year
0:26than they do for all violent crimes combined. Which is honestly crazy.
0:31But we think it can all change.
