“Tim and I always love assignments that take us to Duluth and the North Shore and this assignment was no different. We got engaged along the North Shore so it's special for us. We obviously loved every minute of working on this assignment and it was even more therapeutic given everything going on around us. We weren’t intending for our photos to be about social distancing and isolation but once we started making photos, it became obvious that whether we intended to or not, our photos had an element of isolation to them. It was great to see people being mindful of everyone’s space and making sure everyone had ample room to explore. The North Shore and its open expanse is the perfect place to self-isolate and escape even, if it’s for a few minutes. In fact, if we close our eyes now we can almost still feel the cool breeze off Lake Superior brushing across our face and reassuring us that we’ll get through this.” 📸 by: @ackermangruber
