In case you’re looking for some home upgrade inspo, here are three of our favorite projects that have made a big impact:
Heated floors in our bar room: We loved the potential of the sunroom/3-season room and turned it into our dream home bar! It has glass panes that swap for screens in the summer, BUT, the catch for winter–it’s not insulated. We added heated floors hoping to extend its use into the colder months, and after our first winter here, can attest they are 10,000% worth it! Combined with a space heater on coldest days, we used it almost all winter. (With the exception of polar vortex-level temps!)
@heyculligan Culligan Aquasential Smart RO system with Total Defense: Makes our tap water taste like it just dripped off a glacier. (I’m from Oregon, and all other tap water has been ruined for me since moving! This makes it so crisp and clean tasting!) Perhaps even more importantly, it reduces 90+ contaminants (like lead, pharmaceuticals, and more) and is one of the few filters third party certified to reduce PFAS by more than 99%! (Since tap water is a common source of PFAS, this was a big factor for me, too!)
Beadboard peg wall: Our coat closet is so tiny (not exactly ideal for living in a place where one owns many winter coats ) so we used the blank entryway wall to add extra storage AND more personality. Functional AND stylish, it’s one of my favorite elements of our home, and makes our entryway so warm and welcoming now!
