As someone from LA, I’ve always been taken aback by how different neighborhoods had radically different realities of the settings that surrounded them– from tree-lined streets versus asphalt as far as the eye can see, from parks in abundance in every corner versus polluted ports.
That’s why I love how REI Co-op is working to address disparities in outdoor access by funding green spaces in underserved communities.
