Join us on Sunday, January 18, at 2 p.m. for a free author talk at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in alignment with our annual commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We welcome historian and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Jeanne Theoharis for a conversation on her newly published book “King of the North: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Life of Struggle Outside the South,” alongside Amber N. Mitchell, Curator of Black History at The Henry Ford.
Shortlisted for the 2025 Museum of African American History Stone Book Award, “King of the North” reframes our understanding of Dr. King’s national activism, illuminating his work in cities like Detroit, Boston and Los Angeles, and its resonance in the present.
This event is free to the public, but advance registration is required by January 15. Reserve your seat today: https://links.thf.org/3NarIv7
